Quality Testing

Bus seating products made by SafeGuard undergo the most rigorous testing in the school transportation industry. All testing is performed at the Center for Advanced Product Evaluation (CAPE). Over the past decade, SafeGuard has conducted ten full barrier crash tests on school buses to gain a full understanding of student occupant protection. To support development of the company’s bus seat products, SafeGuard has conducted more than 200 sled tests and 20 school bus rollover tests, as well as performed tests on thousands of components to assure performance and durability.

STAR Performance

SafeGuard STAR products have been tested to all FMVSS 213 requirements. The company’s ongoing commitment to thorough product testing results in the development of bus seats that meet or exceed applicable federal and state requirements.
