Changing a SafeGuard Seat Back Module
The SafeGuard School Bus seat is the only seat in the industry with the option of equipping a bus with seats without lap-shoulder belts and in the future installing seat back modules with lap-shoulder belts. This unique feature allows school districts and all types of transportation programs to plan for the future while keeping costs of adding additional safety technology to a minimum. This feature is convenient for maintenance personnel when lap-shoulder belt repair is necessary. Maintenance technicians can remove a seat back that needs repair and install a seat back with lap-shoulder belts.
The removal of the beltless seat module with the lap-shoulder belt module has an installation time of 8 to 20 minutes dependent on the type of tools used.
