We believe our people are our best assets. We have assembled
a team of gifted engineers with a relentless dedication
to the safety of children. Our engineers are committed
to designing easy-to-use solutions that are strong and
can withstand the wear and tear of every day life. This
is because we are more than just engineers - we are
also moms, dads, aunts and uncles.
The IMMI Engineering team's experience and technical
knowledge enables us to serve global customers with
innovative, focused project deployment and solutions
on complex opportunities. Complete system sled testing,
component mechanical and environmental testing, and
a state-of-the-art prototype shop are just some of IMMI's
capabilities serving our customers needs. Whether the
need is for new products or component designs, testing,
application or prototype opportunities, IMMI works closely
with our customers to develop quality products that
"Bring Safety to People."

IMMI's Product Development Engineering
teams lead the development of innovative component or
system design for the child industry. Our team is skilled
with industry leading design and testing tools and demonstrates
technical expertise in order to develop the products
of the future. No matter what the program management
size or scope, our skilled engineers will provide the
necessary tools and resources to design the highest
quality, safest product on a timely basis

As part of IMMI's full service engineering
capabilities, IMMI's Application / Product Engineers
continue to work with our customers beyond initial product
conception. With product innovation as a primary objective,
they provide continual product enhancements and new
product or component designs. IMMI's Application / Product
Engineers utilize industry leading design and testing
tools and possess the technical expertise which allow
them to provide our customers with long-term product
application solutions

Our CADCAM capabilities compliment
the experience and the technical excellence of our engineering
staff. We use Ideas NX and UG NX to develop 3D solid
models of all our products in development, manage our
current product, and control product revision within
the same framework.
Ideas and UG are fully associative such that NC programming
for prototype parts are completely associated to the
developing product represented by 3D solid models. As
the product changes or with further development the
associated NC programming updates as well.
With the combination of our engineering staff and our
CADCAM the development process we use at IMMI minimizes
development and iteration time while maximizing overall
product development productivity

IMMI' s CAPE testing facility uses
software such as LS Dyna, MSC/MARC, and Madymo to conduct
structural analysis and occupant kinematics. These tools
allow us to work with our customers to develop components
or systems with reduced development time. This process
results in lead time reductions for getting new products
to market. For more information on IMMI's CAPE testing
facility, please see the CAPE
testing website.

Prototyping is a strong and a technically
advanced internal resource. Using a blend of traditional
prototyping processes and rapid prototyping, the Prototype
Shop supports Engineering and Product Development with
both early conceptual models and fully functioning testable/destructible
prototypes.
The Prototype Shop is staffed with highly skilled Prototype
Makers and they are complimented with highly advanced
"state of the art" equipment. The technologies represented
in the shop include high speed machining of metal and
plastic, high speed graphite cutting, CNC EDM, Wire
EDM, CNC bending, CNC lathing, and fully associated
CADCAM.
The Rapid Prototyping offering includes SLA, SLS, urethane
casting, and metal casting. These prototypes are used
conceptually and can be finished for "photo realistic"
customer samples.
Our prototyping capabilities are designed to be accurate,
fast, and diverse in prototyping methods. In house prototyping
in concert with IMMI's other committed resources further
provides a reduction in the development cycle.
