Engineering Services
CAPE's applied mechanics engineers can provide modeling and analysis support on a wide range of customer projects. This engineering simulation team uses advanced tools such as MSC/Marc, Patran, MADYMO, LS-Nike and LS-Dyna and can work with you early in the design process to evaluate your product's performance and to confidently predict child seat performance in required physical tests. This engineering modeling approach can reduce front end lead times and development costs.

Testing Services
Our facility is uniquely positioned to conduct dynamic impact sled testing on three different sleds depending on customer needs. CAPE offers state-of-the-art instrumentation and data acquisition along with high-speed digital imaging, allowing customers to review video and electronic data immediately after each test. CAPE also offers fabrication and machining expertise for assistance with customer prototypes or component changes during developmental testing.

Our commitment to producing quality products is reflected in the number of inspections that are performed during the assembly process. Completed buckles and system components are routinely tested in IMMI's Quality Lab.

BUCKLE CYCLE TESTING PLAY VIDEO	SafeGuard buckles are regularly cycled to extreme limits to monitor long-life performance. Since many child seats are passed from one family to another, IMMI tests for the life of the buckle well beyond that of the applicable standards.
RELEASE FORCE TESTING	SafeGuard buckles are also tested to measure the loaded and no load release force.
A-LOK CYCLE TEST PLAY VIDEO	A-Loks, a component of the central adjust system, are life-cycle tested using the appropriate webbing and application angles to verify function and durability.
SNAP HOOK CYCLE TEST PLAY VIDEO	Cycle testing at IMMI also includes checking the spring life on snap hook assemblies.
MICRO SLIP PLAY VIDEO	SafeGuard Tether adjusters and in-line adjusters are tested for micro-slip to verify their ability to maintain their adjusted position.
ABRASION PLAY VIDEO	Abrasion tests are performed on webbing to make sure it meets all regulatory specifications by cycling it over a hexagon bar.
MINI CONNECTOR CYCLE TEST PLAY VIDEO	IMMI Mini-Connectors for round bar connection are routinely tested for cycle life to monitor their performance
